Case Study: Insect Illustrations
Why hire an illustrator to draw insects for your project?
|
I was given a brief to produce a range of patterns that would be used on eco-friendly materials made into cushions, tea towels, napkins and cards. They were then sold at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park in Knutsford.
By hiring me as an illustrator, the patterns I created provided a visually compelling and professional touch to the project, making it more engaging and effective in achieving its goals. My attention to small details is what makes my illustrations provide the wow factor to projects. For this project I decided to mix up the designs using digital vectors as well as watercolour drawings which created the eye-catching designs full of depth and interest, see photos below. With my keen attention to detail I created seamless patterns using the most complex designs. Using my vector skills to create colourful but accurate drawings, they can be used over a huge range of materials from website information; to wall art; books and developed into stunning patterns printed as cushions, scarves, aprons and more...
There is no limit to the type of insect I can draw -- from swallowtail butterflies to dung beetles -- anything is possible.
