The official switch-on of the Christmas lights in Clevedon town centre may have been postponed by Storm Arwen at the weekend, but they still switched the lights on and they are looking fantastic! Here are some photos I took around Clevedon Triangle on Saturday of the Clevedon Clock Tower, the "Merry Christmas Clevedon" sign which is in Clevedon's Queen's Square and the lovely lights on Clevedon Baptist Church. I'm excited to release a brand new Christmas card for 2021 of the beautiful shopping street of Hill Road in Clevedon, North Somerset! Taking inspiration from my existing card featuring a festive Clevedon town centre and the iconic Curzon Cinema, I decided to change things up a little bit by designing a night-time scene, complete with some of the wonderful Christmas lights that are currently in the area. (see some of my pictures of the Light Up The Parks display on my blog here). The card is available to buy on my Etsy shop here. Clevedon Hill Road Christmas card by Emily Charlotte Moran Clevedon’s Hill Road and Alexandra Road — and the Alexandra Gardens park and the Copse Park just by Clevedon Pier — have been lit up by beautiful lights this Christmas. The crowdfunded Light Up The Parks display is switched on at dusk. The Clevedon Christmas Market — in collaboration with The Sunday Market, Clevedon BID, Clevedon Town Council & Hill Road/Alexandra Road Traders — will take place from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
