Really enjoyed visiting Grayson Perry’s Art Club Exhibition at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery which opened last week. The Channel 4 show was great to watch during lockdowns and it was lovely to see all the works featured up close. Also saw Banksy’s stencil that he used for his Reading Prison piece which he’s now apparently planning to sell to turn the prison into an arts venue.
Celebrity artists involved in the exhibition include Grayson Perry (obviously), his wife Philippa, Anneka Rice, Jane Seymour, Lianne La Havas, Lucy Sparrow, Mawaan Rizwan, Russell Tovey, Sue Perkins and Tom Allen. The exhibition is running until September 2022 and you can buy tickets on the museum website here. Some photos from the show here:

Clevedon’s Hill Road and Alexandra Road — and the Alexandra Gardens park and the Copse Park just by Clevedon Pier — have been lit up by beautiful lights this Christmas.
The crowdfunded Light Up The Parks display is switched on at dusk. The Clevedon Christmas Market — in collaboration with The Sunday Market, Clevedon BID, Clevedon Town Council & Hill Road/Alexandra Road Traders — will take place from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021. All the details from the Discover Clevedon website here. Here are some of my pictures of lights. And you can see some of my illustrations of Clevedon (including a brand new image of Hill Road) here. Brand new! I've just created a Portishead jigsaw puzzle (produced by Ravensburger), a perfect gift for Christmas 2021! It features Portishead Open Air Pool, Portishead Lake Grounds and more,.
There's limited availability, and only available to buy from my Etsy shop, where it is also a card. I currently have a 12% discount when you buy 2 or more items from my shop, where I also have other local illustrations, calendars, jigsaw puzzles, cards, prints and more. It's almost Christmas! And I've got some Bristol Christmas cards and prints for the Bristolian in your life! For sale on my Etsy page here. They're both of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, depicted from the Cumberland Basin. The Bristol print could make a great stocking filler. It contains some little nods to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta (which we sadly didn't get to enjoy the full experience of this year because of you know what) and the Bristol Crocodile! I always like to add fun details to my work.
The Bristol Christmas card is the same scene but with Bristol enjoying a beautiful snowy Christmas! There's a snowman, a sled and people skating on the River Avon. The Bristol Crocodile must be in hibernation for this one. The Bristol Clifton Suspension Bridge print is A3 sized and printed on 250gsm silk paper. I send them out rolled, in an A3 cardboard tube (no plastic involved!). The Bristol Christmas card of Clifton Suspension Bridge is printed on thick, recycled A6-sized paper. It comes with an envelope made from recycled paper and I package them in biodegradable corn starch bags. They are sold singularly or in packs of 4. Visit my Etsy store here for more products -- including other cards, jigsaw puzzles and coasters of Clevedon Pier, eco-friendly tea towels, napkins, cushions, lavender bags and more. Shops please get in touch via the contact page if you would like to stock my products. And if you would like to put yourself in the picture, please get in touch too! Living near Bristol, I've crossed the beautiful Clifton Suspension Bridge countless times and I always marvel at what an amazing structure it is! To pay tribute, I designed this Clifton Suspension Bridge Christmas card that's available to buy on my Etsy store here. It's printed on thick recycled paper and comes with an envelope made of recycled paper and a biodegradable corn starch bag. I've also illustrated the Clifton Suspension Bridge as a non-Christmas scene card, and it is available as a print on request.
You can also put yourself into the picture. Please get in touch via the contact page if this is something you may be interested in. |
