I only released my illustration as a Christmas card a couple of weeks ago and after receiving so many lovely comments (thank you everyone!) I was inspired to create this unique, one-off piece in a similar style to how I did my Curzon tile back in 2019. Details: 30cm x 40cm - portrait — mixed media print of digital illustration — on plywood backing — framed -- hand-painted textured details - signed on the back I used a similar technique to decorate my tile for the Curzon Roof Appeal which sold at auction for an incredible £390. After the end of the auction, I’ll either hand deliver to the winning bidder anywhere in the BS21 area or send it special, signed delivery elsewhere. One of my favourite projects to work on this year was a commissioned illustration of Clevedon's Queen's Square for the Clevedon Twilight Market. The Clevedon Christmas Twilight Market is being held this Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 12noon to 7pm and will feature screenings from Clevedon's Curzon Cinema, which will be showing silent films and archive footage from the town. See a reworked version of the illustration (which the market, Discover Clevedon, the Curzon and more have all shared on their social media pages!) encouraging people to shop local this Christmas below, and check out my illustrations of Clevedon which are for sale on my Etsy shop here. Clevedon Christmas Twilight Market I've just added a new design to my collection of Somerset-themed Christmas cards with this festive scene of the beautiful town of Somerton and its Market Square. The same location also features on my 2022 Somerset calendar, of which I now only have a limited number left. I didn't want to order too many just in case I didn't sell them before the clock strikes 12 on December 31! Luckily, the response has been lovely! Somerton Christmas card | new Somerset art from illustrator Emily Charlotte Moran The official switch-on of the Christmas lights in Clevedon town centre may have been postponed by Storm Arwen at the weekend, but they still switched the lights on and they are looking fantastic! Taking inspiration from my existing card featuring a festive Clevedon town centre and the iconic Curzon Cinema, I decided to change things up a little bit by designing a night-time scene, complete with some of the wonderful Christmas lights that are currently in the area. There is a beautiful Christmas lights display in Alexandra Gardens in Clevedon at the moment!
Funded by Clevedon businesses, the Clevedon BID has put up some beautiful lights in the park between the two independent shopping streets of Alexandra Road and Hill Road to make it look like an enchanted forest at night. They are switched on at 3pm every night and there are also other lights on Hill Road and Alexandra Road. The park itself is a beautiful place to visit in the day too as dozens of squirrels charge around, up and down the trees. It's also just a short walk from the seafront and Clevedon Pier. Did you know? I've also created a limited range of eco-friendly, hand-made cushion covers, napkins, tea towels and lavender bags with my designs on. They are made from recycled polyester and organic cotton, highlight animals that are at risk of extinction and make great environmentally-conscious Christmas gifts and stocking fillers! Today I'm releasing my brand new design -- my London Christmas card. It features a couple walking hand in hand on London's South Bank, with the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Portcullis House in the background. There's even a cameo from a little London fox and some pigeons. The card is printed on thick recycled paper and comes with an envelope made of recycled paper. Wells in Somerset is the smallest city in England, and it's also one of the most beautiful!
I've spent quite a bit time in Wells. I worked for a company based there and even had a stall at a couple of the city's Christmas markets, so it was great fun to illustrate Wells Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace for these Somerset Christmas cards. Buy Wells Christmas cards from my Etsy shop here.

My bonkers and adorable cockapoo (or cockerpoo, does anyone have a definitive spelling?) Larry was the inspiration for this cockapoo Christmas card -- he's on the right here with two of his best friends who often tear about the woods together getting up to mischief! The church in the background is inspired by the beautiful Butleigh Church in Somerset, southwest England, not far from Glastonbury. These cockerpoo Christmas cards are A6 sized -- and made of recycled paper. They come with a recycled scarlet envelope and are packaged in compostable corn starch bags.
