Dr. Who New Year Special 2021, Starring Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge

Did you spot Bristol's iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge on the "Revolution of the Daleks" episode of the BBC's "Dr. Who" that aired on New Year's Day, 2021?

The landmark was taken over by The Daleks -- and I won't say any more than that, in case you haven't seen it yet, but you can watch the trailer with Jodie Whittaker as the current Doctor here:

The scenes were actually filmed way back in October 2019. The bridge was shut for inspections at the time, or so they said, but then someone took a picture of The Daleks. Then it was just a case of waiting for the episode to air!

Bristol has a lot of connections to the show, though.

The 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, filmed in Portland Square, Corn Street and St. Nicholas Market for the 2012 Christmas special. And Peter Capaldi's Doctor filmed at Leigh Court for a later episode.
